Credit Recommended for ICCP Exams
Des Plaines, IL
- ICCP announces the successful completion of an evaluation of
their Certified
Computing Professional (CCP) and Associate Computing Professional
(ACP) exams by the American Council on Education. Through the ACE
Credit by Examination Program, a team of content experts, selected
from college faculty, reviewed the ICCP's examinations that are
now included in the newly released
4th edition of the Guide to Educational Credit by Examination.
Since 1945, when ACE's
Military Evaluations Program began, it has been the policy
of ACE that learning acquired outside the classroom can be measured
for college credit. Over
the years, ACE has developed other programs, including the
Credit by Examination Program, that
continue to support this long-standing
policy of recognizing non-collegiate
learning.
According to Credit By
Education Director, Joan Schwartz, "The increase in recognition
of learning through successful completion of examinations, comes
as no surprise. To earn college
credit for this demonstrated knowledge is an added benefit
that will save individuals time and money when they decide to complete
their educational degree goals."
