Certification requires the passing of objective examinations, typically three, and then annually recertifying that you've maintained your currency in the field. Recertification involves an annual membership and recertification fee. This is a life long commitment to professionalism in your chosen career in the IS/IT field. Your IT certification is equivalent to the same level of credential as available for Doctors, Accountants and Engineers!

Who Gets Certified

Nearly 55,000 computing professionals have already earned the recognition and rewards gained from passing ICCP exams -- the most widely accepted means of professional certification in the industry.

By attaining certification through the ICCP, you join a growing distinguished group of knowledgeable and expert computer professionals. They come from every area of the business, government and educational communities, and from around the world. Professionals certified with the ICCP serve as consultants, work in local, state and federal government; in accounting and banking; in high schools, technical schools, colleges and universities; in the manufacturing industry; in insurance and numerous other fields. They have found that the benefits of certification extend to any job and industry where they apply their specialized skills.

We continue to expand the exams to reflect the changing nature of our profession. More than ever, it is a demanding, comprehensive test of your expertise. Those who pass know they have measured themselves against the highest standards in the industry -- and set themselves apart as computer professionals.

In a tight labor market, when competition for positions is increasingly difficult, an ICCP designation after your name on a resume or business card can certainly improve your opportunities.
