CORE Course
What:
The Information Systems CORE course is a 12-16 week,
36-48 hour (one-semester, one night per week) program that is
designed for colleges, universities & private institutions to
offer to their students who are would like to work with a college
to study for the ICCP’s international examination. Colleges may
use whatever materials they feel are relevant. The ICCP Complete
Guide to Professional Computing (CD version or Textbook) is available
as a valuable resource for this course.
Why:
Candidates who attend a full semester evening program
of studies perform significantly higher on the examinations than
those who do not. A 40% increase in the likelihood of passing
the ICCP’s Core I.T. Skills examination results from taking this
form of an educational program. This course is highly recommended
for recent entrants into the I.T. field. Seasoned professionals
requiring a full refresher program including new concepts, techniques
and technology will also find this a beneficial program.
Where:
Your local university, college normally delivers
this program through their Computing Science Faculty or the Faculty
of Extension. Private or state colleges and universities are welcomed
