The CBIP program was initiated in 2003 in partnership with The Data Warehousing Institute (www.tdwi.org) and is supported world wide through the TDWI conferences, regional workshops and customized onsite training programs.
The program was initiated in 2004 as the Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) and was modified in 2015 to broaden its availability to increasing specializations in Data Modeling, Data Operations, Data Analytics, Data Governance, Data Stewardship, Data & Information Quality, and Information Management. Now there are huge demands for streaming analytics of social media and scalable enterprise architecture planning for integrated services - leading us all to a new credential Certified Big Data Professional (to be released fourth quarter 2016)
Originally initiated in 1964 by DPMA (www.aitp.org) and was moved for administration to the ICCP in 1973. This program continues to be the premier certification for senior professionals in the computer industry with many CIOs in fortune 1000 companies holding the credential for the duration of their careers and involvement with the industry.
Increasingly business people need to analyze their core businesses based on customer preferences, operations & supply chain management and accelerating calls for higher service at lower costs. All of this, at the same time as shareholders demand increased margins from senior management teams.
