ACM Board Representative. Dr. Jensen is a Principal Data Scientist and Architect at Centric Consulting. Prior to that he was the Principal Director in the Data Science Center of Excellence at Accenture. Prior to that he headed up Microsoft Innovation Centers around the world. He is a Senior Executive with extensive relationship, management, product marketing, sales, startups, domestic/international, teaching, and research experience. Demonstrated capabilities in Strategy, Data Analytics (BI, Big Data, Machine Learning, Deep Learning), Consulting, Manufacturing, Curriculum Development, Course Design and Delivery, Research, Publishing, Resources (Oil & Gas, Utilities), Telecommunications, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Legal, and Commercial Property Management. |
Director of Re-Certification (Credential Renewal): Venkat Prasad Sunkara, CBIP, Certified Enterprise Data Architect
Venkat is hoping to increase membership renewals and provide additional services to members. Venkat received his CBIP – Certified Business Intelligence Professional with TDWI and ICCP. He is an excellent data analyst and will help ICCP to connect with members and keep current certified holders engaged and recover those who may not have been able to renew their membership during Covid. Do contact us at the ICCP office and we will connect you with Venkat if you have any requests for new services of wish to add other forms of study hours towards your recertification. Also, as a certified enterprise data architect and business intelligence specialist he will assist the ICCP board in many analytics activities. |
ICCP Treasurer: Julian Brook
Mr Brook has been an Information Technology professional (formally a Data Processing professional) for over 50 years serving as a programmer, systems designer and professional, DP manager, and consultant. While in the army and afterward for the defense department doing what he likes to call “really fun stuff”, language and operating system development and some very classified applications, at the NSA. He then returned to Birmingham and since has mostly been involved with developing, installing and supporting business computer systems – accounting, sales, inventory, purchasing, all of the “bread and butter” business apps, and consulting. Mr. Brook is highly respected leader in the Jewish community having held many national posts as well as being an avid scuba diver. |
ICCP Secretary: Keith Tennant
Mr. Tennant has been a systems operator, programmer, application developer, team leader and Chair of many ICCP Board Committees including technology renewal, education & recertification and is now serving as an officer of the organization. He is an avid Photographer. He continues to volunteer his time especially with the AITP National Collegiate Conference and has been their official photographer for many years. Originally certifying as an Associate Computing Professional, he later earned his full Certified Computing Professional Designation. |
Director of Certification: Chan Beauvais
Chan Beauvais worked as a volunteer for many years on the ICCP Certification Council developing and updating the international job standards, and examinations. In 2021, Chan was asked to lead the Certification Council by his peers- a prestigious group of subject matter experts. Currently, he is the Director of Pharmacy Data with Costco. Chan is an avid data analytics and data science professional who also has a deep commitment to improving standards, teaching, learning and coaching his students during nearly 20 years of teaching evening classes in computer programming and information systems at Bellevue College. He honored by the Bellevue College Foundation with a Margin of Excellence award in 2020. He is an accomplished musician who strums a guitar with delight for himself & others. |
Director - New Projects: Jacqueline Luciano
Ms. Luciano, CCP, PMP Retired is an IT Product, Program, and Project Manager with extensive experience in the computer industry. Her experience encompasses application design and development; software package implementation; database design, implementation, and management; system architecture; and system and network management. Ms Luciano served as President of the Greater Boston Chapter of the Association for Women in Computing, President of the Ocean State Chapter of the Project Management Institute, Treasurer of the Boston Software Process Improvement Network (SPIN), President of the Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals (ICCP), and President of the ICCP Educational Foundation. She has been a member of the ICCP Board of Directors in multiple capacities since 1997. |
ICCP Education Foundation - President: Dr. Abhijit Pandya
Dr. Abhijit Pandya, Florida Atlantic University, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science - pandya@fau.edu During his 38 years of academic career, he has been involved in cross-disciplinary research involving physical sciences, brain science, medical sciences, engineering and computer science. He is a patent-winning inventor who has worked in both industry and university settings. He has extensive experience in dealing with various cultures and has worked with top university administrators for setting up successful international collaborations. He has authored over 200 publications in IEEE Transactions, Science Magazine, Journal of General Physiology, Physics Reviews, etc. and several books in these fields. His book “Pattern Recognition using Neural Networks in C++” published by the IEEE press in 1995 was the first pioneering textbook in the field of Artificial Neural Networks. His current research is focused on augmented virtual reality, machine learning, and their applications in medicine. |
STI-SCAD Board Representative: Rabaa Mohammed Baniyas
Ms. Baniyas is an experienced leader in the Statistics Center Abu Dhabi and leads a team of statisticians, data scientists and business analytics persons. She is responsible for assuring the accuracy of reporting national statistics for the UAE and works collaboratively with all UAE governments. STI provides training and certification across the GCC. SCAD reports directly the Executive Council. |
ACM Board Representative: Don Gotterbarn
Mr. Gotterbarn is director of the Software Engineering Ethics Research Institute, Professor Emeritus East Tennessee State University and visiting professor at the Centre for Computing and Social Responsibility, UK. As a computer consultant he worked on international software projects for the U.S. Navy, the Saudi Arabian Navy, and the European Union. Projects included decision support systems, vote counting machines, and missile defense systems. He taught at the University of Southern California and trained the US National Security Agency and TATA Consultancy Services- in India. His research appears in over 100 articles, & he has been been recognized by government and various professional bodies, e.g. The ACM Presidential Award 2018 and the Joseph Weizenbaum award 2010. |
DThink Inc., Board Representative: Pablo Cigliuti
Mr. Cigliuti is the founder and owner of Dthink Inc., in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a teacher and mentor at many academic institutions and is an accomplished Business Intelligence Specialist who offers many educational programs and certification preparation courses throughout South America. On the ICCP Board, Pablo represents DThink Inc., prior to founding this organization he represented CPCI – The council for professional informatics societies in Argentina. |
GIIM Board Representative: Jerry Luftman
Dr. Luftman’s experience combines the strengths of CIO/practitioner, consultant, and academic. His proficiency in business-IT alignment and IT trends, eighteen books, published research, consulting, mentoring, and teaching/speaking engagements exemplify Dr. Luftman’s expertise and leadership. After a distinguished twenty-two year career with IBM, he had an exemplary career for about twenty years as Professor, Founder and Associate Dean of the Stevens Institute of Technology Information Systems Programs (one of the largest in the world). Dr. Luftman has leveraged his experience as a CIO, IT management consultant, and leading academic, with his strong network of prominent IT practitioners and academics, to provide a valuable and innovative initiative to train managers and executives worldwide. |
Intellimedia Inc. Representative: Ahmad Jawad
Ahmad is an established member of the Alberta Tech community, having founded and expanded Intellimedia into a thriving corporation in the EdTech field focusing on Education Analytics and digitized form management. Ahmad holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Alberta as well as an Executive Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University and completed a Management Excellence program at Harvard Business School. Ahmad is a believer in continuous learning, he speaks 3 languages, English, French and Arabic. Ahmad is a passionate community steward, committing both time and resources to supporting several not-for-profit organizations. Ahmad passionately believes in public education and a focus on student learning. R2C Board Representative: Naomi Selby
Naomi is a senior professional with over 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. She has spent 15 years within the National Security Community, in both analytical and operational capacities. She is a certified PMP, Scrum Master and Data Governance professional who currently specializes in data governance and data management operations—specifically building data governance programs for organizations looking to increase their data governance maturity and posture. As a program manager for a small woman owned consulting firm, Naomi managed a portfolio of projects, providing duties that ranged from contract administration to management of project personnel. As a consultant, Naomi has provided high level guidance to the management teams of several specialized programs. This support includes training, research and analysis, roadmap/task sequence development, and developing and tracking strategic planning endeavors. |
BE/R2C Board Representative: Chris McDermott
Chris joined BE/R2C from the Defense Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Accounting Agency (DPAA) where he served as the Chief Data Officer since the agency’s founding in 2015. Chris was vital in leading data consolidation, case categorization, and case management system development for DPAA, and his efforts were at the forefront of DoD adoption of cloud technologies, agile development methods, and the integration of continuous improvement and innovation into the Agency. ICCP Executive Director: Kewal Dhariwal
Dr. Dhariwal is a senior executive with extensive experience in working with industry leaders to provide for the needs of the workforce in Adult, Career and Technology Certification and Education. As a former Dean of Computing and Founder & Director of the Microcomputer Institute (NAIT Computer Training Center) he has proven experience in developing innovative programs generating millions of dollars in revenue. As founder of the Business Intelligence and Data Management Certification programs he has forged ICCP into a leading new methods and technology certification body. Recently he has introduced Data Science and Big Data Certification. His lifetime commitment is towards improving the computer professions and constantly seeking ways to standardize our industry to the point of low failure and high success rates in software and systems development.
