Student Scholarships

The ICCP Education Foundation accepts donations from ICCP members and from corporate donations with the intent of providing students educational opportunities and access to ICCP certifications.

George Eggert was a national president of the Data Processing Management Association (DPMA) which is now known as the Association of IT Professionals (AITP). He was ICCP Executive Director before retiring.

George R. Eggert, Memorial Scholarship Award

James N. Snyder was a Physicist and programmer for the ILLIAC I. He helped establish the Institute for the Certification of Computer Professionals (ICCP) and served on its board of directors. Professor Snyder was Head of the Department from 1970-1985, which were rapid-growth years. This award was established by friends and colleagues upon his death in 1985, and is awarded to sophomores based on academic merit.

James N. Snyder Memorial Award

This award is provided to female students at Edmonds College in Seattle where Pat used to teach Data Management. Pat was responsible for preparing the courses, writing online course materials and teaching students. Pat's contributions to the community of business, data and computer professionals was profound. She founded the Chicago Chapter of DAMA International and was an International President of DAMA International. She was also the Director of Certification for ICCP and later a Board Member of the ICCP representing DAMA International on the ICCP Board, along with Eva Smith. Pat was instrumental in getting ICCP Board support for the creation of the Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) credential in 2004. That credential was renamed as the Certified Data Professional in 2015 to broaden its appeal to increasingly diverse data professionals.

Pat Cupoli Educational Scholarship

This award was established in 2017 at the University of Calgary jointly by Dr. Kewal Dhariwal and Wade Walker to recognize one of the top 10 most influential people in computing, data warehousing and data analytics. The award has matching grants and is awarded to three students from the University of Calgary. This award will provide $2,000 per person per academic year for up to 3 years of awards. As of April 2018 this award is being converted to an endowment.
